Mr Ramesh Chennagiri

Mr Chennagiri is a Consultant Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon working in Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe Hospitals). He qualified from Bangalore University and completed his post-graduate training in orthopaedics in India before moving to the UK.

Mr Chennagiri underwent specialist training in T&O on the Oxford rotation. He trained as a hand fellow at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby and obtained the Diploma in Hand Surgery (Br) in 2010.

Mr Chennagiri has a keen interest in clinical leadership and education. He is currently the Co-Chair for the Division of Surgery, Anaesthesia and Critical Care at Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust. His previous leadership roles include Educational Lead and SDU Lead (Clinical Director) for the department of Trauma and Orthopaedics. He received the Trust CEO leadership award in recognition of his achievements as the Clinical Lead, particularly for quality improvement in junior doctor training.

He has published papers on ulnar shortening osteotomy technique, outcome scores in shoulders, dual publication in hand surgery and management of scapholunate ligament injury.
